Kurt Leather Sneaker

I’ve been a loyal customer since 2017, back when I first discovered New Republic through Teaching Men’s Fashion promotions. Over the years, I’ve purchased your products repeatedly and have always trusted your quality.

Unfortunately, this experience has been extremely disappointing. I purchased the Kurt sneakers back in October, and they still have not shipped. Customer service has been unhelpful, repeatedly telling me they would ship “within a week,” yet it’s now almost February with no update or resolution.

This is far from the level of service I’ve come to expect from New Republic. What happened? You were once a brand known for quality and reliability, and this experience has seriously shaken that trust.

Worst white sneakers I've ever owned. After receiving the delivery they looked like nice sleek sneaker. I wore them a total of 4 times until I tried cleaning them. The outer layer on the toe of the shoe wore right off. I wasn't using any aggressive cleaners or any over abrasive fabric or material to scrub the shoe. I used hot tap water and a white towel. I did as much research as I could and the sneakers had pretty decent reviews. I do not recommend buying them. This is my honest review. I purchased them as a cheap daily white sneaker. I can't respect a company or product with such shotty quailty.

I purchased the New Republic Kurt Leather Sneaker in April 2024, and I'm deeply disappointed with both the product and the company's customer service. Here's why:

Poor Durability: After no more than 20 wears of regular use, the stitching at the front of the shoe broke, creating a hole. This is unacceptable for a product at this price point.

No Warranty: When I contacted customer service about this manufacturing defect, I was informed that they do not offer any warranty on their shoes. They refused to replace or refund the product, which shows a lack of confidence in their own merchandise.

Sizing Issues: Despite advertising these shoes as "true to size," I found them to be uncomfortably tight. As a consistent 9.5 size wearer, I expected a better fit. The shoes never broke in or became comfortable, even after multiple wears.

Inadequate Customer Service: When presented with these issues, the company only offered a 15% discount on a future purchase. This is not a satisfactory solution for a defective product.

Potential buyers should be aware that there is no warranty offered on these shoes. I would not recommend purchasing from a retailer that doesn't stand behind their products. The lack of quality and customer support makes these shoes a poor investment, regardless of their initial appeal.

After a little less than a year of light wear the "leather" is peeling like paint on a wall. It's almost as if they painted on the white finish on top of the leather. Their customer service is terrible and blamed me for not taking care of my shoes and did not acknowledge that there may be issues with their craftsmanship.

I bought these as an alternative to Adidas's Stan Smiths. I usually can get about a years worth of wear from Stan Smiths, and was hoping for similar or better out of these. A month in though, the leather covering started to peel. After 4 months, they were gone and couldn't be worn anymore. If you're looking for an alternative to Stan Smiths or Air Force 1s, look elsewhere – these are not worth it.

I bought both the black and the white. There was a little delay in the arrival over the festive period. When it did arrive, I realized the size I ordered was too small for me (it was my error). At the time I requested for an exchange, I could only get the white available in my size. The exchange for the white and the refund for the black was smooth. Thanks for that. I’ve worn the shoe twice and it’s been a good experience so far. The fit and quality is excellent. I will sure come back for more if the experience continue this positive.

Wrote a review but wanted to add pics. Both 14s but not really. The white ones are at least a half size smaller. At least!

I have been a fan of these shoes for the last 2-3 years, and have purchases a new pair each year after beating up the pair from the previous year. Unfortunately, it seems like the material is getting less comfortable, the glue is getting weaker, there is less padding/comfort in the shoe, and the durability decreases by 2-3 months each year I’ve worn them.

These shoes may have been a popular option in the past for their price to quality and looks ratio, but I guess the quality has lowered itself to keep the price similar in the last few years.

I think my next pair of sneakers will be a dependable pair of Stan Smiths.

Have not taken them off a single day

Simple and not expensive. I have bought it twice. Third time is coming soon.

I’ve had these shoes for less than a year and they already ripped at the seam, the insoles are made of this low quality foam which deteriorated fairly quickly causing me to purchase new insoles. The bottom of the shoes also have worn down over minimal use. The leather cracked in two places on the shoes (both feet). As far as looks these shoes look amazing but durability is terrible. Do not recommend, purchase a higher quality pair, it’s better worth the money.

This white sneaker is super comfortable and fits in any style you're wearing.

I love these shoes! I've been waiting for a size 8 to become available for a couple of months now. I really hope they're still being produced. I'll definitely buy a few pairs so I won't have to wait again.

Run kind of narrow, but awesome shoe nonetheless

Let me start by saying that these look great - they have a very balanced silhouette and are good to wear just about anywhere.

Now the bad: They are not durable, and this "leather" started cracking at the creases near the shoe laces after ~30-40 wears. Not a good look. I noticed right away that this pair felt more rubbery and less like the soft leather of an older pair I had purchased a few years back. They definitely are nowhere near as comfortable as the other pair and feel much cheaper.

TLDR: look nice, but the quality is cheap, durability is subpar, and comfort is mediocre.

I bought my first pair years ago when they had the inner lining made with quality materials. It seems like they went cheap since I last bought a pair.

Great fit . Sneakers are fun to wear and they hold up under diverse circumstances . A real. plus !!

Hands down one of the best value all white leather sneakers available! I prefer these over similar shoes that competitor brands make. The leather shoe takes a little time to break in but after that they feel great to walk around in.
